the stars above glitter and
glance
and, driving to my house, I
begin to intuit
perhaps there is a star
for each of us
a place we can call home
a connection that we sense
and follow
like the cloud of sensibility gliding
through the mind’s sky
on that evening ride
suggesting
an intimacy
with light
and the vastness of space
that our hearts understand and
adore
